a couple weeks ago kyle and i won tickets to go to the last packers preseason game against the kansas city chiefs. we love going to the games, as any packer fan would, and try to make it to at least one every year. although, we’ve been very fortunate to have been able to make it to a couple games every year for the last few years. while we do love to watch the game in the comfort of our own home or have get togethers with friends and family, there is just something about seeing it live at lambeau field with a beer in hand (though none for me this year) in the midst of the energized crowd. the atmosphere there is incredible and i don’t think any other can compare (though i am biased).
it’s been a rare occurrence lately for my husband and i to get away, just the two of us, so attending the game was the perfect date night. it did start to rain a bit towards the end of the second half, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the game at all. we covered up with a rain coat and stayed dry. it was amazing to see how much the stadium cleared out from a little bit of rain, though. i mean these people sit out there in sub zero temperatures, but can’t handle a little rain ;-). in all seriousness though, packer fans are the most diehard, in my opinion. i will say though, people leaving early did make for an easy exit and a much quicker time getting back home (which was nice considering i had to work in the morning).
enjoy the photos, sorry for the slight bluriness catching moving objects with an iphone is not the easiet feat!
