Summertime

the summer has just flown by, i can’t believe we are already into the third week of august. lots of changes happened over the summer of 2013 and this year is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and busiest to date. i moved back into my parents home for the first time in 7 years to try and save some money and figure out where life was going to take my boyfriend (at the time) and myself, only to get engaged to this wonderful man a few weeks later. we were able to spend many days celebrating the birthdays and successes of family members and travel up north for quality time with one another and friends. amidst planning a wedding, looking for our first home, working full time, and trying to finish up graduate school for my impending graduation in december some days i feel like i can’t even catch my breath, but i honestly wouldn’t trade this life for any other.

the day kyle proposed will forever be one of the happiest days of my life. he completely surprised me and i will never forget it.

Imagemy little sister, megan, graduated college and got her first career as a veterinary technician. my mom hosted an animal themed graduation party for her (how cute are these penguin appetizers!).

i competed in my first ever triathlon with someone who has changed my life and who is an inspiration to me, sarah kaehny. it was an amazing experience and i am grateful to have been able to finish with her at my side. i met sarah last november at the gym i had joined, she was the owner and trainer. a few months after my joining she learned that she had cancer for the second time in her young life. she continues to fight and be positive and never take any day for granted. she is a fighter and i am so blessed to have met her.
